The basis for my inspiration was the look and feel of the Tokyo Steakhouse restaurant. The cover ties into the soft red glow of the interior. While the Japanese sumi-e ink paintings showcases art of the culture, which inspired the layout design of the menu itself.
I approached this project with consistency in mind and I wanted the menu to reflect the experience you have at this restaurant. Every small detail counts, even the color of the interior cover, to the logo reflecting the aesthetic. The challenge was the layout and making sure information fit in an open way, but remained readable and uncluttered.
